I’ve completed the overhaul of the press section. I think it’ll be a little easier to find things now. I thought I’d keep it simple by not bothering with a “design” so to speak. I think you’ll like it though. So far there aren’t that many articles in the because a lot of them I’m going to have to transcribe from the original clippings and magazines I have. When those are done I’ll be posting them to the press section, then posting the links here. I’m hoping now to get to actually posting some more images I have, as well as settling on a new layout. All that will be coming in the new year.
I know it’s been a long time since I posted anything of relevance. Well with the exception of the AFR program Jon and Carol did, but I’ve been in the process of trying to reorganize the press section and that’s been a Herculean effort. I had one template that sort of was a bit ridiculous if you ask me. The new template is much easier in terms of organization, but it also is cleaner in terms of its look. I have a bunch of newspaper clippings and a couple of magazine scans I need to transcribe to add, then add the scans to the gallery. I have a couple of things that will take a bit of time to get done, but when they are they’ll be added in good fashion.
Back in July, Jon appeared on his wife Carol’s show on the American Freedom Radio Network where they discussed many things including climate change, preservation of animals, The Star Wars program, politics and many other things. Jon also read many of his limericks he wrote from a book he plans on publishing soon.
On behalf of MAVERICK, I’d like to take this time to wish my friend Jon the happiest of days. He turns a ripe young 84 on this day and it is my sincere hope he’s spending it with family, close friends and taking it easy. Jon if you’re reading this, please know I’m thinking of you and wishing you well.
While doing a search on Youtube for Jon, I happened to find this. It’s a rare television appearance on the Tony Awards in 1984. Here Jon plays the part of Julian Marsh in the 1984 production of 42ND STREET. This is so cool finding this. If you’re looking Jon, enjoy.
I have reuploaded some of the videos I had in the media section. They quality is now way better than they were the first time around. The ones that have been reuploaded are the ones of Jon as Eric Brandon in the four episode arc he did on the 1975 medical drama MARCUS WELBY M.D.. I have also started uplaoding some of Jon’s episodes of MAJOR DAD where Jon played the part of General Marcus C. Craig from 1990-1993. I’m just in the process of editing up more episodes but as with the others, will take some time to get into the site. So again I ask your understanding as I begin getting season one done.
