Major Dad (1990-1993) Role: Commanding General Marcus C. Craig
Major John MacGillis is a conservative, by-the-book, die-hard Marine. Polly Cooper (Shanna Reed) is a pacifistic, liberal journalist. Nonetheless, when the two meet, there's instant and intense chemistry between them. With the permission of Polly's three daughters: Elizabeth (Marisa Ryan), Robin (Nicole Dubuc) and Casey (Cheslea Hertford), the two get married within weeks. Now Polly (and her kids) have to learn how to deal with being a Marine family, while Major MacGillis has to learn how to be a Dad. The MacGillis family is transferred to Camp Hollister where Mac becomes Staff Secretary to Commanding General Marcus Craig (Jon), and he meets Gunnery Sgt. Alva "Gunny" Bricker (Beverly Archer). Mac is soon reunited with Lt. Eugene Holowachuck (Matt Mulhern).
Tour of Duty (1989-1990) Role: Major General Martin Goldman
Vietnam is the backdrop for this unflinching and gripping look at a platoon of soldiers of BRAVO Company during their 12-month "tour-of-duty" in country. The soldiers include MST SGT. Zeke Anderson, Lt. Myron Goldman, Sgt. Marcus Taylor, Cpl Danny Percell, PFC Alberto Ruiz, Lt. John J. McCay, SP4 Marvin Johnson, Pvt. Scott Baker, Pvt. Roger Horn, Pfc. Francis 'Doc Hoc' Hockenbury, Pvt. Randy Matsuda, Pvt. William Griner, Capt. Rusty Wallace, Dr. Jennifer Seymour, and Lt. Goldman's father, General Martin Goldman.
Masters of the Universe (1987) Role: Duncan, Man-At-Arms
On the planet Eternia, the dark lord Skeletor has taken over Castle Greyskull, and imprisoned the Sorceress, and Skeletor has begun draining the Sorceress' powers as he attempts to claim the powers of Greyskull and become master of the universe. Mighty warrior He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe and his companions: loyal soldier Man-at-Arms, his daughter Teela and a dwarf inventor named Gwildor finds themselves on Earth, by Gwildor's creation, the Cosmic Key, a device that can open portals that lead to anywhere in the galaxy, which Skeletor requires in his goal for universal conquest. But when the Cosmic Key is discovered by Julie Winston and her boyfriend Kevin Corrigan, both unaware that Earth is about to become a battleground, as Skeletor and his vile minions arrives on Earth, as they go in pursuit of He-Man and his companions who are searching for the Cosmic Key so they can return to Eternia and defeat Skeletor.
Hill Street Blues (1981-1987) Role: Chief of Police Fletcher P. Daniels
The original "ensemble drama," this is the story of an overworked, under-staffed police precinct in an anonymous inner city patterned after Chicago. We follow the lives of many characters, from the lowly beat and traffic cops to the captain of the precinct himself. This is the show that blazed the trail followed later by such notable ensemble dramas as "St. Elsewhere" and "L.A. Law." Jon played the part of the Chief of Police Fletcher Daniels who was more of a pain in the backside of Captain Frank Furrillo than Daniel's piles were in season's two's "The Spy Who Came In From Delgado".
Food of the Gods (1976) Role: Brian
Morgan, Brian and another friend are on a hunting trip on a remote Canadian island when they are attacked by a swarm of giant wasps. Looking for help, Morgan stumbles across a barn inhabited by an enormous killer chicken. After doing some exploring, they discover the entire island is crawling with animals that have somehow grown to giant size. The most dangerous of all of these, however, are the rats, who are mobilizing to do battle with the human intruders.
Valdez Is Coming (1971) Role: Frank Tanner
The town constable, Bob Valdez, is forced to kill someone accused by Frank Tanner of being a murderer. Valdez asks Tanner for monetary help for the man's wife, but he is ridiculed and almost killed by Tanner's henchmen. Valdez recovers and summons up his days in the U.S. Cavalry in order to fight them. Valdez wounds one of the henchmen and sends him back to Tanner with the message, "Valdez is coming."
Cinderella (1957) Role: Prince Christopher
A live CBS extravaganza that aired 31 March 1957 starring Julie Andrews as the titular princess. This is from composers Rogers & Hammerstein and starred Howard Lindsay, Dorothy Stickney, Ilka Chase, Kaye Ballard, Alice Ghostley, Edie Adams, and a young twenty-five-year-old novice to the stage Jon Cypher as Prince Christopher, the object of Cinderella's affection.
