I usually don’t post like this, but I recently discovered the original “Cinderella”, and wow, what an amazing and beautiful voice Mr. Cypher has! I hope there is a way to let him know how much pleasure just listening to him sing has given me!
PS I also liked him on “Hill Street Blues”. I wish they had let him sing.

I’m glad you did post here. As for Jon’s performance in CINDERELLA, I completely agree. I have the soundtrack on my mobile device and listen to it at least two or three times a week. I love how sonorous Jon’s voice is. It’s easy to see why Cinderella would fall for him. Not only does Jon have the voice one would associate with a prince to sweep a girl off her feet, but the figure he cuts in that costume…. Not going to say anymore. Jon does know about this site so I’m hoping he will see what you said about him. I’m sure he’ll be very pleased.

As for his role in HILL STREET BLUES, yes. I adored Chief Daniels, or Fletch The Letch. How he’d breeze in and deliver his ultimatums to Furillo then breeze out…. Only Jon could do that and make the character also have an endearing quality to him. Yeah, I said endearing. Given what I’ve seen of his work, I don’t know what of his work you’ve seen, but for me Jon has a great range and Daniels was just one of those many characters Jon placed a memorable stamp on.

Thank you for stopping by and for leaving your comment. Very nice to see Jon’s fans expressing how they feel.

      Dianne
